The Ogres grabbed a win, 3-1, at The Ogre Den, overcoming a fine effort from Lake Minnetonka pitcher Tsugahara Ota. Ota went 8 innings and allowed 3 earned runs. Olympia is now 33-65.
The game was on the line with two out in the top of the ninth inning, but Eric Mason didn't flinch. With runners on 1st and 3rd and Lake Minnetonka trailing 3-1, Mason retired Ricardo Cantú to end the threat. "Nothing to it," said Mason, with a wink.
