The Springfield Shooters dealt the Chesapeake Continentals a 5-4 loss at Chesapeake Grounds. Oscar Finley was the star on offense. He went 2 for 3 with a double and was hit by a pitch, while adding 4 RBI. Zhi-qiang Ku earned the win to go to 3-5. He allowed 3 earned runs on 6 hits, with 1 walk and 4 strikeouts. Ettore Guizzardi recorded the save for Springfield, his 1st of the season.

Finley had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 2nd in the top of the third inning, when he hit a 2-run double. The Shooters went on to win.
