Chesapeake pitcher Gerard Fyson did his part in helping his team beat the Ithaca Fighting Imps, 5-1. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Fyson, now 3-1, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 4, walking 2, and allowing 1 earned run. Cakaraka Subramanya converted his 2nd save in 5 tries.

Tim Robinson dealt the Fighting Imps a blow in the bottom of the sixth. Batting with runners on 2nd and 3rd and Chesapeake leading 2-1, Robinson hit a 2-1 changeup for a 2-run double.
