Screaming Eagles Get Win, Extend Streak to 4
|
A nice crowd turned out to see the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles and Crescent City Krewe clash at Field of the Krewe.
The Screaming Eagles faced a stiff challenge from Crescent City pitcher Wan-fu Quan, but persevered to claim a win at Field of the Krewe. The final score was 6-3. Quan went 6 innings and allowed no earned runs. Dawson Randolph, the winner, improved to 3-2. He held Crescent City to no earned runs on 6 hits over 6.1 innings, while racking up 6 strikeouts.
Dima Tabakaev had a key at-bat with two out in the top of the first for Mercer Island. With the bases loaded and the Screaming Eagles leading 2-0, he got hit by a pitch, driving in 1 run.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Tabakaev.
The Krewe, now 36-51, have lost 4 straight.
