Garland Powers Fighting Imps to 8-6 Win
The Ithaca Fighting Imps dealt the Lake Minnetonka Love Boats a 8-6 loss at Imps Park. Everett Garland was the star on offense. He went 3-3 with 2 doubles and a walk, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. Jimmy Whitney finished the game for Ithaca and earned his 13th save. The 9th-place Fighting Imps improved to 29-54.

Ithaca took a 8-4 lead on Garland's 7th double of the season. The bases-clearing double, which he hit off Mark Jacobson in the bottom of the seventh, propelled Ithaca to the win.

"I'm proud of the boys for pulling through," said Fighting Imps manager Jeff Walsh. "The wins don't come easy for this team, but everyone's got an extra jump in their step after a game like this."
