The Ithaca Fighting Imps beat the Olympia Ogres, 8-7, at Imps Park. The Fighting Imps got a fine performance from catcher Jonathan Elmore, who captured player of the game honors. He went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Surya Prawiranega picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 3-4. Jaime Amaya was tagged with the loss. Jimmy Whitney, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 10th save.

In the bottom of the 6th, third baseman Brant Fields gave Ithaca the lead when he hit a bases-clearing double. The Fighting Imps had been trailing 7-5, but the two-out double off Olympia pitcher Jaime Amaya changed that -- and Ithaca went on to win.

"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Elmore said.
