Ft. Polk South starter Gerard Tremwade kept the Springfield hitters in check, while his team cruised to a 9-1 win. Ft. Polk South, at 46-29, sits in second place in the Premier AA.

The Thunder Hawks got a big at-bat from third baseman Tora Tora. For the game, Tora went 1 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the second, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 21st home run of the season gave Ft. Polk South a 2-0 lead.

Thunder Hawks manager John Anderson had nothing but praise for his players after an impressive win, calling the result one of the team's best performances of the season. "Everything just came together on our end," he said. "I didn't need to do too much."
