Crescent City Beats Virginia, 4-1

Crescent City and Virginia duked it out at Field of the Krewe and the Krewe came out victorious.
The Crescent City Krewe picked up a win at Field of the Krewe, knocking off the Virginia Palladium Sox, 4-1. On the mound for Crescent City was right-hander Manny Pinto, who played a pivotal role in the win. Pinto picked up the win for Crescent City, going 6.2 innings. He gave up no runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 5-7. Chris Floyd notched his 1st save in 1 chances.
The Palladium Sox had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Krewe going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 21-year old shortstop Jorge Muñóz came to the plate. Muñóz hit a run-scoring single on a full count fastball from Virginia hurler Matt Elmore. It was Muñóz's 68th hit of the year.
"I just tried to attack the bottom of the zone," Pinto said.
The Krewe are now 29-43, while the Palladium Sox fall to 43-29.
