Continentals Fall to .500 After Loss to Thunder Hawks
|
Behind a solid performance from shortstop António Etxebarria, the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks defeated the Chesapeake Continentals, 8-5. Etxebarria went 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for the Thunder Hawks. António Morterero finished to wrap up his 3rd save. Ft. Polk South now sits in third place in the Premier AA at 42-28.
Tora Tora, who is tied for 3rd in the PAA in total bases with 142, chipped in for Ft. Polk South with a grand slam home run in the bottom of the third. For the game, the third baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 4 RBI.
"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Ft. Polk South manager John Anderson.
