Kawaguchi Helps Mercer Island Cruise to 11-1 Win
The Mercer Island Screaming Eagles powered past the Crescent City Krewe, 11-1, at Mercer Island Grounds. Masafumi Kawaguchi went 4-5 with 2 doubles and 2 singles. He scored 3 times and drove in 2, to lead the charge. Adrik Mihalushkin, the winner, improved to 7-5. He held Crescent City to no earned runs on 6 hits over 5.1 innings, while racking up 6 strikeouts. Kuang-yin Tsou earned his 3rd save in 3 tries.

Dima Tabakaev made an early impact for Mercer Island when he stroked his 7th double of the season. The 2-run double, which came with two out in the bottom of the third, put the Screaming Eagles on top, 5-1.
