Streaking Baby Lakers Win Another One
|
Pitcher Zhao-hui Teng was sensational for the Bompton Baby Lakers in his team's 7-1 triumph over the Germantown Uruguayans. Teng received player of the game honors, while picking up the win. The winning pitcher was Teng, now 6-5. He tossed 7.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 6. The winning streak has now reached 15 games for Bompton.
In the bottom of the 7th, second baseman Guo-liang Hao gave Bompton the lead when he hit a 2-run single. The Baby Lakers had been trailing 1-0, but the two-out single off Germantown pitcher Roberto Palmeiro changed that -- and Bompton went on to win.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Hao told the Bompton Bulletin.
