Gatacre Helps Baby Lakers Run Win Streak to 5
|
Bompton center fielder Bill Gatacre made his presence felt in the 11-5 Baby Lakers triumph over the Canonniers de Quebec. Gatacre went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 4. The Baby Lakers, at 40-29, have now won 5 straight.
The game was all tied up in the top of the eighth, until Gatacre delivered big-time for Bompton, stroking a dramatic run-scoring single off Tony Cowan. The game-changing hit put the Baby Lakers on top, 5-4.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Gatacre.
