The Amarillo Submarinos got a superb performance from pitcher Rusty Davis. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Germantown. The Uruguayans won the game, 3-1. In spite of the loss, Davis was named the player of the game. He threw 5 innings of shutout ball. Rafael Galván closed the game out for Germantown, earning his 15th save. The Uruguayans now own a record of 27-27.
Germantown grabbed control in the bottom of the seventh. With two out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Gwang-soo Deungjeong delivered a 2-run single, to make it 3-1 in favor of the Uruguayans.
"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Germantown manager Dexter Shannon said.
