Biscuits Drop Fire with Late Score
The Montgomery Biscuits topped the Franklin Fire, 8-5, with first baseman Randy Moore playing a big role. Moore went 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Biscuits in the win. The Biscuits now have a mark of 42-45.

The game was at a stalemate until center fielder Jack Davis came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Franklin pitcher Jorge Leyva, he hit a 1-0 fastball for a 2-run triple. It was a game-changer, putting Montgomery on top, 7-5.

Davis told a Montgomery Herald reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
