Hillandale Grounds was the site of a tense game between the Valley View Cougars and Montgomery Biscuits.

Montgomery got a strong outing from Kevin Hamm as the Biscuits defeated the Valley View Cougars, 3-2, at Hillandale Grounds. Montgomery is now 40-44.

Terjo Ridanpää made an early impact for Montgomery when he stroked his 73rd hit of the season. The run-scoring single, which came with one out in the top of the third, put the Biscuits on top, 3-0.

"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Montgomery manager Félix Cruz. "It's usually not just one thing."
