The Franklin Fire had to overcome a big game from Twinsburg right fielder Numberto Pencíl to leave Dodge Field with a 5-4 victory. Pencíl was 4 for 6 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs. Franklin reliever Kuang-yin Gao picked up the win, bumping his record to 4-2. Ellis Huntley was collared with the loss. Franklin now sits in 4th place in the Silver R at 47-33.

This game was not decided until late. With one out in the top of the 12th, Kenny Benson hit a sacrifice fly. The Fire took the lead, 5-4.

"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Franklin manager Mark Davis.
