The Ellesmere Island Snowpeople got a good effort from starter Marcos Lucero in defeating the Ballard Beavers at Field of the Sunchasers. The final score was 2-1. Ellesmere Island is now 34-45. Ballard is 46-33.
It could have been a different outcome for Ellesmere Island, had it not been for Joel Fagliano, the 18-year old first baseman . Fagliano contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put Ellesmere Island up, 2-1.
