The Montgomery Biscuits topped the Ellesmere Island Snowpeople, 13-5, with youngster Guan-xiu Long playing a key role. Long was 3-5 with a double and 2 singles. He scored 3 times and drove in 2 for the Biscuits in the win. Richard Surgener was called on to finish, recording his 2nd save. The Snowpeople, now 32-45, have lost 6 straight.

Montgomery relied on the hitting of Randy Moore to pick up the win. The left fielder clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Biscuits on top, 13-5. For the game, Moore had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
