Quebec City and Franklin duked it out at Dylan Park and the Baby Blues came out victorious.
The Quebec City Baby Blues relied on the hitting of second baseman Kalino Iolana to stop the Franklin Fire, 5-2. For the game, Iolana went 3 for 4 with a triple and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Domingo Jones, credited with the save, is now 13 for 17 in save opportunities.
Iolana had a game-changing single in the bottom of the sixth. On a 2-1 cutter from Kwan-yew Khu, he banged a 2-run single to center, giving the Baby Blues a 3-1 lead. It was the 14th hit of the year for Iolana.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Iolana.
The win puts the Baby Blues at 37-37, while the Fire drop to 43-31.
