Amarillo played host to Ellesmere Island at the friendly confines of Ballpark of Henderson.
Amarillo third baseman Muralidhara Neena played a vital role in his team's 10-2 triumph over Ellesmere Island. He went 1 for 1 with a home run, 2 walks, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 4 runs and driving in 2 for Amarillo. Amarillo reliever Alfredo Flores picked up the win, upping his record to 2-5. Robinson Guillén absorbed the loss.
Making an impact for the home team was Joe Gregory. In the bottom of the third, the 20-year old first baseman had a run-scoring walk. That made the score 4-2, Warheads.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Neena told reporters after the game.
Amarillo is now 33-40.
