Biscuits Come Back Late, Nip Cougars
The Montgomery Biscuits dealt the Valley View Cougars a 6-5 loss at Montgomery Riverwalk Stadium. Guan-xiu Long was the star on offense. He was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Montgomery reliever Richard Tipton picked up the win, upping his record to 3-0. Keith Stinson took the loss. Montgomery occupies 6th place in the Silver R at 32-37.

Late-game drama came in the bottom of the ninth inning. With no one out and a runner on 1st, the batter, Stanislov Navashin, hit a double. It helped Montgomery seize the win.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Long told the Montgomery Herald.
