There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day.
Kuan Ru is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-6 against the Moose Jaw Canucks at Foresters Stadium today. The monster effort from the 20-year-old third baseman helped the Ellesmere Island Snowpeople take the win, 11-0.
"We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Canucks manager Bobby Davis. "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today."
Kuan Ru struck out in the 1st, hit a two-run single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, doubled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
This year Ru has hit 4 home runs and posted a .328 batting average.
