Outlaws Fall Short at Ft. Worth
|
Benefiting from an exceptional performance from Kolby Hay, the Ft. Worth Cattlemen defeated the Nashville Outlaws, 4-3. Hay went 2 for 6 with 2 home runs for the Cattlemen. Pedro Valdéz picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-2. Gerald Plomp was tagged with the loss. The 4th-place Cattlemen improved to 18-16.
Hay had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the 13th. On a 2-1 sinker from Gerald Plomp, he banged a solo home run to left-center, giving the Cattlemen a 4-3 lead. It was the 7th home run of the year for Hay.
"Good win for us, tough loss for them," said Hay.
