The Snowpeople faced a stiff challenge from Valley View pitcher Greg Ayala, but persevered to claim a win at The Igloo. The final score was 3-1. Ayala went 7.2 innings and allowed 1 earned run. Ellesmere Island reliever Mun-wah Rao picked up the win to move to 3-0. Roberto Morales suffered the loss. Ellesmere Island is now 17-25, while Valley View is 26-16.
Ellesmere Island took a 3-1 lead on Sozui Amano's 1st home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Valley View pitcher Roberto Morales in the bottom of the ninth.
Amano described the clubhouse as "kind of rowdy" after the game.
