Fire Raise Rally Flag, Beat Twinsburg, 3-2
|
Franklin starter Kwan-yew Khu pitched effectively against the Twinsburg Tigers at Lawmen Ballpark. The right-hander led his team to a 3-2 win. Franklin reliever Kuang-yin Gao picked up the win, bumping his record to 2-2. Raúl Nieves was collared with the loss. Franklin has 5 straight wins, Twinsburg 3 straight losses.
Steve Hollis was the walk-off hero for Franklin. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Fire designated hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Franklin manager Mark Davis.
