Biscuits Get One-Run Win at Valley View
Montgomery rode a decent outing from starter Kevin Hamm to victory over the Valley View Cougars at Hillandale Grounds. The final score was 6-5. Hamm got the win, improving to 2-3. He allowed 6 hits and walked 1 over 6.1 innings. Hamm allowed 2 earned runs. Carroll Woodard recorded his 12th save for Montgomery.

The result might have been different for Montgomery, had it not been for Erwan Michel, the 18-year old shortstop . Michel stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the fourth inning to put Montgomery up, 6-2. For the game, he had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Michel.

The Biscuits improved to 18-18.
