Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Ellesmere Island Snowpeople got the win.
Ellesmere Island Snowpeople starter Ki-seop Ch'oe was in fine form against the Amarillo Warheads at Ballpark of Henderson, leading his team to a 4-2 win. Ellesmere Island is now 14-22, Amarillo 11-25.
Ellesmere Island used the timely hitting of Nicky Withey to capture the win. The pinch hitter socked a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Snowpeople ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was an important one.
"I liked his command," said Ellesmere Island manager Hartmann Riedman. "Ki-seop was throwing strikes."
