The Montgomery Biscuits saddled the Ogallala Octopi with a loss at Nebraska Aquarium. The final score was 6-3. Darrell MacGregor, named player of the game, was 3 for 4, including 2 singles and 1 home run. The Montgomery left fielder scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Carroll Woodard closed the door for Montgomery, picking up his 11th save of the year. With the win, the Biscuits have a record of 16-17.
Montgomery used the timely hitting of Raúl Yánez to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put the Biscuits on top, 5-3. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Yánez told reporters after the game.
