The Montgomery Biscuits stopped the Franklin Fire, 6-5, at Montgomery Riverwalk Stadium. The Biscuits got a big game from Guan-xiu Long, who was 2 for 3 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI. Carroll Woodard got the save, the 8th for him this season. Montgomery goes to 11-11, Franklin to 14-8.

With Montgomery leading 5-1 in the bottom of the fourth, Long came up to bat against Franklin pitcher Adrian Madrid. Long hit a sinker to left for a run-scoring double. His 6th double of the season put the Biscuits on top, 6-1.

"We found a way to get it done," Long said.
