Fire Get Past Ogallala for 4-3 Win
The Franklin Fire took Ogallala pitcher Roberto Trevino's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Lawmen Ballpark. The final score had Franklin getting past the Octopi, 4-3. Trevino went 7.1 innings and allowed 2 earned runs, striking out 7. Franklin reliever Ari Heinonen picked up the win, upping his record to 4-0. Steve Smith shouldered the loss. The 6th-place Octopi have lost 4 consecutive games.

In the bottom of the ninth, with two out and the game tied, 3-3, left fielder Alejandro De La Cerdo won it for Franklin. With runners on 1st and 2nd, De La Cerdo hit a first pitch cutter from Steve Smith for a run-scoring single, giving his team a 4-3 win.

"We'll enjoy this win," said De La Cerdo. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
