Beavers Beat Snowpeople, 6-2
|
Ballard Beavers starter Bill Zimmerman turned in a top-notch performance against the Ellesmere Island Snowpeople at Field of the Sunchasers. The result was a win for the Beavers, 6-2. Zimmerman got the win, improving to 2-2. He allowed 5 hits and walked 0 over 7 innings. Zimmerman allowed 2 earned runs. Rafael Ramos closed the game out for Ballard, earning his 4th save.
With one out in the bottom of the fourth, John Reed put Ballard in front, 4-2, with a bases-clearing triple. The Beavers went on to win the ballgame.
"We had a good game plan," Zimmerman said, "and we were able to execute it."
With the victory, the Beavers record now stands at 12-9.
