Oakland got a terrific game from right fielder Gabriel Montoya. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Buckhead, 4-3. Montoya was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He went 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Roderick Miller recorded the save for Buckhead, his 7th of the season. The 'W' lifts Buckhead's record to 12-18.
With one out in the bottom of the sixth, Barsati Saraf had a game-changing hit. The Bowties shortstop slammed a run-scoring single off Miguel Cabañas, making the score 4-3, Buckhead.
"You can't take yourself too seriously," Saraf told the Buckhead Bulletin. "But at the end of the day, we do play to win ballgames."
