Rhinos Lose, 5-2, at Hound Pound

The Redwood Rhinos got a superb performance from pitcher Emery Manhoran. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Hicksville. The Hounds won the game, 5-2. In spite of the loss, Manhoran was named the player of the game. He threw 6 innings of 2-hit ball. Henri Finiguerra, credited with the win, is now 2-2. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 3 innings. Jimmy Young got the save, the 8th for him this season.
Hicksville took a 3-2 lead on Pedro Costa's 1st home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Redwood pitcher Emery Manhoran in the bottom of the seventh.
"I thought we played a nice game," Costa told the Hicksville Herald. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
Hicksville now sits at 48-34, while Redwood falls to 45-37.
