Ducks Drop Centennial with Late Score
|
The Long Island Ducks picked up a win at Ducks Park, knocking off the Fort Knox Centennial, 2-1. Starting pitcher Ulbert Pals was an essential part of his team's success. Long Island has 3 straight wins, Fort Knox 5 straight losses.
Had Abdul Razzad Zaimukhes not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Zaimukhes hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Ducks.
