Otters Slip Past Fort Knox, 3-2

Fort Knox got a terrific performance from pitcher Ron Rouse, but it wasn't enough to beat the Tulsa Otters. Tulsa won the Ballpark of Baxter contest, 3-2. Rouse was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He threw 8 innings of 3-hit ball. The winner was Peter Bradley, who threw 96 pitches over 8 innings. The left-hander was charged with 2 runs on 8 hits. Even with the win, the Otters have a dismal 23-43 record.
Tulsa used the bat of Ryutaro Watanabe to capture the win. The shortstop jacked a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Otters ahead, 3-2. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a dandy.
"I was a little disappointed," said Fort Knox manager Jesús Román. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
