Tight Tilt Goes to Cajuns, 2-1
|
The Crowley Cajuns got a magnificent effort from pitcher Lewis Goodman, who kept Hicksville hitters in check en route to a 2-1 Cajuns win at Titans Ballpark. Lorenzo Ramos earned the save, his 7th, for the Cajuns. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for Crowley.
A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the bottom of the fifth, with the game tied, Norbert Schalk was at the plate when Crowley scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Cajuns to go in front, 2-1.
"We had a good game plan," Goodman said, "and we were able to execute it."
