Brinley Dazzles in Long Island Win
|
The Long Island Ducks got a stellar effort from pitcher Finley Brinley, helping Long Island score a 3-1 win over the visiting Hicksville Hounds. The second-place Ducks improved to 27-19.
Brinley, the winner, is now 6-3 after putting the clamps on the Hicksville offense. In 7 innings of work, he gave up no earned runs on 2 hits, while collecting 14 Ks.
"Baseball is about momentum," said Brinley, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
