Long Island and Hicksville got after it at Hound Pound.

With third baseman Kyle Michaud leading the charge, the Long Island Ducks defeated the Hicksville Hounds, 9-4, at Hound Pound. Michaud, who is tied for 7th in the PR in RBI with 17, was 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 3 times. The Ducks bumped their record to 18-9 with this latest triumph.

It could have been a different outcome for Long Island, had it not been for Kenny Wright, the 19-year old right fielder . Wright contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the fourth inning to put Long Island up, 3-1.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Wright told the Long Island Times.
