Outlaws Clip Browns in Tight Contest
|
The Nashville Outlaws picked up a win at Nashville Stadium, knocking off the Cleveland Browns, 4-2. Starting pitcher Craig Fitzgerald, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. The win was Gerald Plomp's in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Damien Morin took the loss for Cleveland. The 4th-place Outlaws are now 11-11, the Browns 16-6.
The game was at a stalemate until shortstop Seung-min Sin came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Cleveland pitcher Nick Altrock, he hit a 0-2 fastball for a 2-run double. It was a game-changer, putting Nashville on top, 4-2.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Sin told the Nashville Daily News.
