Oaks Pull Even With 5-2 Victory
The Oakland Oaks beat the San Mateo Dirty Reds, 5-2, at Oakland Coliseum. The Oaks got a fine performance from right fielder Gabriel Montoya, who captured player of the game honors. He was 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. With the win, Oakland pushes its record to 10-10.

Jesús Colón dealt the Dirty Reds a blow in the bottom of the sixth. Batting with runners on 1st and 2nd and Oakland leading 1-0, Colón hit a first pitch curveball for a 2-run triple.

"We did enough to win," said Colón.
