Lead Sox Jolt Rhinos with Late Rally

The Lead Sox faced a stiff challenge from Redwood pitcher Eugene Bell, but persevered to claim a win at The Zoo. The final score was 6-4. Bell went 5 innings and allowed no earned runs. Indiana reliever Gustavo Álvarez picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Ze-min Li shouldered the loss. Indiana, now 8-1, has played well in the early going.
José Rivera had the most critical at-bat for Indiana. With two in the top of the ninth inning, Rivera hit a 1-1 cutter from Ze-min Li for a run-scoring single. It put Indiana in front, 5-4.
"There's never a lack of effort in our clubhouse. We're willing to do the little things to get the win," Rivera told the Indiana Today.
