The Long Island Ducks got a strong performance from pitcher Finley Brinley, who stymied the Hicksville offense en route to a 5-1 win at Hound Pound. The Ducks raised their record to 2-1.

Brinley, who was born in Kingston, Jamaica, threw 99 pitches over 7 innings, while allowing no earned runs.

"I really like what we did out there today," Brinley said after the game.
