Blaze Topple Gold Sox with Late Rally
|
The South Beach Blaze walked off with a big win today at The Ballpark on the Beach.
Jong-beom Kung was in top form in a low-scoring contest between South Beach and Chicago. The Blaze right-hander was named the player of the game in South Beach's 2-1 win. Jude MacPherson, credited with the win, is now 3-1. He allowed no runs on 3 hits in 2 innings.
Rafael Soto was the walk-off hero for South Beach. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Blaze third baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring double to send the teams home.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Kung.
South Beach now has a 3-game win streak.
