Dirty Reds Drop Cattlemen with Late Score
|
Ashley Thachi had a good game, but he could not keep the Ft. Worth Cattlemen from falling, 7-5, to the San Mateo Dirty Reds at The Cattle Pen. The Ft. Worth shortstop went 4 for 5 with 2 doubles and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once in the loss. With the win, San Mateo goes to 10-7.
San Mateo used the bat of Arsenio Laurel to capture the win. The center fielder jacked a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Dirty Reds ahead, 7-4. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a dandy.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Laurel told the San Mateo Times.
