Seahawks Prevail, 4-2, Over Chicago
|
The Myrtle Beach Seahawks beat the Chicago Tula, 4-2, at Seahwaks Stadium. The win was largely due to the efforts of shortstop Francisco Daulong, who captured player of the game honors. He went 3 for 3 with 3 singles and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Myrtle Beach is in third place in the Premier A with a record of 45-31.
Myrtle Beach grabbed control in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and a runner on 3rd, José Salas delivered a run-scoring single, to make it 3-2 in favor of the Seahawks.
"I thought we played a nice game," Daulong told the Myrtle Beach Gazette. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
