Vandals Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Arryns
The Vandals had to overcome a fine performance from Lake Erie pitcher John Fleming to grab a 3-1 win at Arryns Ballpark. Fleming allowed 1 earned run over 6.2 innings. Eugene reliever Peter Kossan picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Tom Lehman took the loss. With the win, the Vandals improved to 24-51.

Eugene used the timely hitting of Sariyah Fateen to capture the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Vandals on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but he made it count.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Fateen.
