Gold Sox Fall to .500 After Loss to Seahawks
Myrtle Beach starter Masaki Ito put a stranglehold on the Chicago offense. The left-hander had complete command of his knuckle curve in leading the Seahawks to a 3-1 win. Myrtle Beach reliever Zack Coffey picked up the win, upping his record to 7-2. Tony Ruvenacht absorbed the loss. The Seahawks sit in third place in the Premier A with a record of 43-29.

Myrtle Beach used the timely hitting of Aubrey Miller to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Seahawks on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Our guys are never satisfied," said Myrtle Beach manager Omer van Osch.
