Victory Over Seahawks Takes Cut Off to 43-24
|
Cut Off starter Bhu Damocles pitched effectively against the Myrtle Beach Seahawks at Crawdads Field. The right-hander led his team to a 5-3 win. Damocles got the win, improving to 4-1. He allowed 8 hits and walked 2 over 5.1 innings. Damocles allowed 3 earned runs. Héctor Sanz got credit for the save for Cut Off. It was his 11th of the year.
Scott Fields's at-bat in the bottom of the fourth inning was a big one for Cut Off. Coming to bat with no one out, runners on 1st and 2nd and Cut Off trailing 1-0, the shortstop reached on an error by the C, driving in 1 run.
"I like our mindset right now," said Cut Off manager Michael Garrett.
Cut Off has now won 4 straight.
