BC Sneak Past Browns, 4-3
|
The Philadelphia 1776 BC picked up a win at Ben Franklin Memorial Coliseum, knocking off the Cleveland Browns, 4-3. On the mound for Philadelphia 1776 was right-hander Sergio Gómez, who played a pivotal role in the win. Pedro Huerta, credited with the win, is now 1-0. He allowed 2 runs on 3 hits in 1 innings. The BC, now 5-11, have not found much traction so far in 2040.
Zacarías Salazar was the walk-off hero for Philadelphia 1776. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the BC shortstop hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Salazar said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
