Peterson, Eugene Prevail in Pitchers' Duel
The Eugene Vandals eked out a 2-1 win versus the Kingston Mangos at The Riot Zone. Nobody did more than pitcher Roland Peterson, who captured player of the game honors. Even with the win, the Vandals have a dismal 15-36 record.

Peterson's performance can only be described as masterful. He notched 7 strikeouts in 8 innings while allowing 4 hits. Peterson, who is tied for 6th in the PA in innings pitched with 67.1, goes to 4-3 on the year with 59 strikeouts.

"For the most part, I stayed out of the middle of the plate," Peterson said.
